Power comes from the 1.5L turbocharged four making 175 horsepower and 203 lb-ft, matched to an 8-speed automatic and all-wheel drive 25 city / 29 highway on regular unleaded, with 15.6 gallons of range between fill-ups.
This one is built with Preferred Equipment Group 2RS plus Convenience Package III, which is where it separates from the volume Equinox on the lot. Heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear outboard seats, heated steering wheel, an 8-way power seat for both driver and passenger with power lumbar, memory settings, and a power dual-glass panoramic sliding sunroof. Add the power liftgate, rain-sensing wipers, dual-zone automatic climate, and remote start and you have a small SUV that covers the January commute and the July road trip equally well.
Tech is the 11.3-inch diagonal display running Chevrolet Infotainment 3 with built-in navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless phone charging, 5G connectivity, and a six-speaker system.

The AWD RS is a beautiful SUV inside and out. It is modern and has the technology that everyone needs at a great price. The ride quality is one of the best of any cars in the field. The seats are comfortable and adjusted for every rider. Is the engine the fastest no, but is all the vast majority of people need. - 5.0
Great car for the value.

I had a Toyota SUV before, but it was totaled. The handling for it was nice, but the Equinox 26 is far more comfortable. I'm 6'2", and there's plenty of room for me to get around in. I did a lot of shopping around and the options that came with it couldn't be beaten for the price. I've had it a little less than a year, but I've only driven it around 2500 miles. I got the CVT transmission and it has been extremely smooth in shifting gears due to it's design. The engine is small, which likely contributes to the bad gas mileage some people report getting. I live in a rural area and get about 32 mpg on average with me going light on the gas pedal. When I'm on the interstate, I get around 35 mpg, up to my max of almost 38 mpg. I use the adaptive cruise control as much as possible and not speeding up hard or braking much. The engine has a nice little hum to it and isn't loud. It gets up to speed fast enough, when I need it. I can even spin the tires a bit, if I try to take off too fast. I didn't have any problems with the sound system, but I went in and fiddled with all the settings in the very beginning. This might help some people out who are having sound issues. The only problem I've had with mine was a very small oil leak, which is likely due to me not getting the oil changed soon enough. I believe they said the oil plug gasket was being replaced just in case, and it hasn't leaked since. For now, I'd still get the car again. Here's to hoping I don't get some of the issues others have.
